Availability Cosequin Equine Powder is a non-prescription (OTC) product. How this product should be used The suggested initial dose for an average horse is 3 level scoops AM and PM. For horses over 1,200 lbs use 4 level scoops AM and PM. Overly large horses (warmbloods, draft breeds) may need 4 or 5 scoops AM and PM. The initial administration period is 4 to 6 weeks. However, responses can be seen in as few as 2 weeks. After achieving a good response, the total daily amount can be reduced by 1 level scoop each week.
