What is this product used for
Kopertox is water-resistant protection without bandaging recommended for use as an aid in treating horses and ponies with thrush due to organisms susceptible to copper naphthenate.
Availability
Kopertox is a non-prescription (OTC) product.
How this product should be used
Clean the hoof thoroughly, removing debris and necrotic material prior to application. Apply daily to affected hoofs with a narrow paint brush (about 1”) until fully healed.
What are the side effects
Do not allow runoff of excess Kopertox onto hair since contact with Kopertox may cause some hair loss.
What special precautions are there
Kopertox is intended for use on horses and ponies only. Do not use on horses intended for food. Use this product in a well ventilated place. Avoid fire, flame, sparks and heaters. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting. Call a physician immediately. Avoid breathing vapor. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
In the event of an overdose
Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.
How should I store this product
Store this product at controlled room temperature (59º to 86ºF). Keep out of the reach of children and pets.
